Gospel showman Ricky Dillard's Crystal Rose Records CD "Unplugged: The Way Church Used to Be" is more than just a title. It's a return to the uninhibited, traditional type of hand-clapping gospel music he enjoyed as a youth. Recorded live at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Morgan Park in Chicago to a SRO crowd in November 2003, this is Dillard’s first cd since 2000’s “No Limit” – his biggest selling cd yet with over 100,000 in sales. "When I look back over the years and think of the trials and trying times this choir has been through, I have to recognize God's favor to us,” Dillard confesses in a hushed baritone. “We've been through hell, but we were not burned.
